The gap between rich and poor is ever widening. The economic model, on which we've pinned all our hopes, is now showing it's huge limitations. The planets natural systems are at a crisis point, with most scientists now believing that unless we make huge changes, life on Earth faces an imminent existential crisis. And the people we entrust to fix these problems are being lobbied and bought off by rich organisations looking to get richer at our expense. Business as usual is faltering and we need an alternative.

At SEEP it is our mission to help facilitate and strengthen the conversation between the network of people and organisations who strive to build this brave new world. A sustainable planet is within our reach, but only if we work together.

There are four main areas to sustainable development, social, economic, environmental and political with each area informing and influencing the others. We believe that in order to tackle the problems facing our planet and in order to stand up to the prevailing orthodoxy, we need to strengthen the connections between individuals and groups working in these areas. That way we can build a stronger, more supportive and more innovative movement for change.
